The design of the chapel emerged as the depiction of a Holy Virgin Mary vision. Imre Makovecz drew two versions for the building. The implemented version was inspired by the outline of the vision drawn on paper. The building consists of a series of glued wooden support stands that form the outline of the vision, closed off by a glazing wall at the rear end.
The design sketches were developed into design drawings by Erzsébet Várlaki then the implementation designs and construction itself were supervised by Tibor Fülöp. The building was delivered for use in 2019.
